Ungrateful

Rashard called me about seven years ago and said he needed to get away from his girlfriend he was living with at the time (Nikki) and get his life together.

I asked him what he needed. He asked if he could come to Austin to stay with me and I said cool. He said he didn't have any money or transportation.

I told him I would wire him enough money for the bus ticket and enough extra to catch a cab to the greyhound station.

When I picked him up from the greyhound station in Austin, I asked him how much did the cab ride to the greyhound station in Houston cost. He told me he found a ride and didn't need to take a cab.

Now I was expecting him to give me my change back. If he was a kid, I'd let him keep the change, but he was a 30-something year old grown man. He didn't even think about giving me my change back. Ok, I let it ride.

Now he's staying at my house and I'm going to work everyday. Rashard is at my house chilling. I'm expecting him to be out walking down to businesses, trying to find a job, but I look at the camera in my house and I see him sitting on the couch chilling, watching tv everyday. For a week or two.

I finally tell Rashard that if he's going to be staying at my house, he needs to be out looking for a job. I didn't bring him to Austin for me to take care of him. I told him that if he was looking for someone to take care of him, he needs to go back to Houston and deal with Nikki because I don't do that.

He said "well send me back then!"

I put him on the next bus back to Houston.
