Evil

The mother of Rashard's kids had custody of them up until she passed away in a traffic accident in 2014.  She would text me every so often asking me if I could talk to Rashard about him coming to see his kids because months would go by without him seeing them and she said she was tired of begging him to spend time with his kids.  (I still have those text messages.)

When their mom passed away, Rashard left his kids with their mother's side of the family because he didn't want to keep them.  Their uncle on their mother's side told Rashard the kids belonged with him and demanded he take responsibility for his own children. 

So now the kids are suddenly living with Rashard, who had not been coming around all that often and they are dealing with the trauma of losing their mother. Their whole lives changed in an instant.  A week after they bury their mother, Rashard tells his kids "your mom was sorry, she was possessed and never did shit for ya'll".

Never mind that none of that was true.  A parent should never say something like this to kids about the other parent, but a week after they bury that parent and are still grieving?  

The kids were 10 and 11 at the time.

How do I know this happened?  One of the kids told me.

And they still aren't over it.

(But some people want to believe Rashard is a prophet and a godly man.)
